To end bad Wi-Fi, Hamina introduces an easy, affordable Wi-Fi site survey and diagnostics device

Hamina today announced Hamina Clip, a compact Wi-Fi site survey and diagnostics device that gives IT administrators and network engineers a simple way to troubleshoot, measure, and redesign Wi-Fi networks. With an introductory bundle price of $990, including Hamina’s AI-powered software, Clip provides professional-grade Wi-Fi validation and onsite troubleshooting without the cost or complexity of traditional Wi-Fi tools.

With Hamina’s AI-powered software, the Clip device enables teams to generate heatmap visualizations of Wi-Fi coverage, interference, capacity, and connectivity, quickly identify the root causes of Wi-Fi issues, simulate the effect of smaller network changes as well as upgrades, and produce shareable reports. Hamina Clip works with or without building floorplans.

Clip attaches to a belt or strap and includes four high-quality antennas, dual Wi-Fi radios, wireless pairing with an iOS phone or a tablet, and over five hours of battery life. Clip integrates directly with Hamina Network Planner and Hamina Live, supporting the full wireless network lifecycle.

Thanks to new, highly optimized Wi-Fi scanning algorithms, Clip can be used in any Wi-Fi environment, from offices, campuses, and hospitals to warehouses and factories.

“Practical tools for resolving everyday Wi-Fi problems have been missing from the market, but that changes today,” said Jussi Kiviniemi, Founder and CEO of Hamina Wireless. “Clip, paired with Hamina’s software, makes instant heatmapping, Wi-Fi diagnostics, and remediating accessible for anyone - from home installers to CWNE-level hardcore wireless architects. ”

After surveying with Clip, Harry Norman, Wireless Solution Architect at Elevate, said:

"This is such a powerful tool! Surveying without cables is so good! And the Clip is so tiny it always travels in my backpack, no more debating whether to bring my top Wi-Fi tool with me or not." Harry continued: "The price point and the layman-friendly iPhone app mean we can get more people out in the field surveying and troubleshooting Wi-Fi."

Instant troubleshooting with Clip and Hamina Onsite

With the Clip launch, Hamina also announced a new version of the Hamina Onsite Wi-Fi site survey and troubleshooting app. Hamina Onsite is a leading app for enterprise-wide Wi-Fi site surveys as well as heatmap-based coverage, redundancy, and interference analysis.

The new app instantly reveals Wi-Fi bottlenecks such as signal, connectivity, and speed issues, and enables locating access points in seconds. The new troubleshooting features also reduce Wi-Fi troubleshooting time significantly and enable IT staff to fix more complex Wi-Fi problems.

The new Onsite version also adds the capability of Wi-Fi site surveys without a building floor plan when using an iPhone Pro or iPad Pro.

With the new Onsite, Hamina's integration with Orb, the popular network quality testing company, continues. The new Onsite is powered by Orb technology, providing a simple 0-100 Orb Score of the network connection quality, as well as connectivity details such as lag and responsiveness. The Orb Score can also be seen as a heatmap after a walk-through site survey.

A first-come, first-served waitlist is available at hamina.com/clip. The initial units begin shipping in April in limited quantities, with general availability starting in the summer. The introductory Clip plus Onsite bundle price of $990 includes a 6-month Hamina Onsite app subscription.

Hamina Onsite app version will be available by the end of Q1 2026, and is a free upgrade for existing Hamina Onsite subscribers.
